Pilsen has one of the city's best walkable vintage strips. Much of it runs along 18th Street, with shops spread between Halsted Street and Ashland Avenue, and the 18th Street Pink Line stop is close by.
Independent shops give this area its character, so hours can be shorter and more irregular than at chain stores. Many open around noon and some close for part of the week. Check each shop before you travel, then allow time for the street's murals, bakeries and taquerias between stops.
